An analytical study of the role of stimulus packages to contain the repercussions of the Corona crisis on foreign exchange flows in Egypt, a “comparative study”

The research shows what the economic and financial impacts of the crises are, especially the emerging Corona virus crisis, and the extent of its similarity from the global financial crisis of 2008. And its implications for foreign exchange sources in the Egyptian state, such as exports, tourism, remittances of Egyptian workers abroad, foreign direct investment and the revenues of the Suez Canal, and a comparison between them and the global financial crisis . and clarify the financial and economic packages and incentives provided by the Egyptian state to mitigate the vulnerability of these resources to the emerging Corona virus crisis and its impact on the gross domestic product and cash reserves.
The research followed the descriptive and analytical method to show the negative repercussions of the Corona crisis on the foreign exchange sources under study and compare it with the global crisis. The research concluded that the Egyptian state is making efforts to enhance alleviation of the negative Corona crisis, but it needs more, while relying on local development to mitigate the impact of foreign exchange sources under study on the foreign monetary reserves of the Egyptian state.
The research recommended a number of recommendations, including further strengthening exports, providing a suitable environment for foreign investment, providing various and distinct savings vessels for workers' remittances abroad, and increasing support for those affected by the crisis, such as tourism workers, returnees from abroad, and others.
